Termites

Termites are a social insect much like Ants. They build large colony’s either in soil or timber structures. They are commonly referred to as white ants, however are not related to ants at all. Termites have no waste between the thorax and abdomen, thier antennae have beaded like segments, are blind, and have an exoskeleton that’s vulnerable to drying out. Termites digest timber by the use of symbiotic protozoa in there gut. They are responsible for over $1.3 billion annually in costs of damage repairs and its estimated that 1 in 3 homes will be effected by termites at some stage in their lives
